Aaron Hillegass’s resolution is absolutely legitimate:
I will be at the beach Jun 6 – 13. If Apple decides to hold WWDC that week,
I will not be there.
Apple seems to be convinced that it forms the center of the universe. While the WWDC is certainly important for all developers targeting Apple-platforms, those people tend to have lives of their own and are not serfs of Apple. Is it too much to ask for announcing a conference a year before? Especially an annual conference? There are lots of other conferences where the place and exact date of the next conference are announced at the end of the current conference. It’s not exactly rocket science.
And it is quite likely that the WWDC will take place Jun 6 – 12. Because there is an entry for a mysterious Corporate Meeting in Moscone West.
Apple, grow up, already!
